  • DES Eligible School Leaver

    Eligible school leavers are people with significant disability who are in their final year of secondary school, or are moving from School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) or an eligible state or territory transition to work program.

    People who need regular and ongoing high levels of support at work may be able to get Disability Employment Services (DES) High Ongoing Support.

    A Job Plan lists what you will do to find and keep a job, and how a Disability Employment Services (DES) provider will help you.

    Ongoing Support is when a Disability Employment Service (DES) provider gives a person extra support to keep a job. It’s available after being in a job for 26 weeks.

    Disability Employment Services (DES) providers are organisations that help people with disability prepare for, find and keep a job. They also help employers to support employees with disability at work.
