  • On-the-job experience

    On-the-job experience is direct exposure to work and workplaces. It is the same as work experience but happens after a person has finished school.

  • Open employment

    Open employment is when people with and without disability work together in regular jobs.

  • Programs of Support

    Programs of Support include different types of Australian Government- funded employment support services.

  • Reasonable and necessary

    The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) needs to be sure that the support or service you’re asking for is ‘reasonable and necessary’.

  • Service provider

    A person or organisation that provides paid supports, services or products to people with disability.
