NDIS unregistered provider

Back to the A-Z of open employment

A National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) unregistered provider delivers goods or services for people with disability but isn’t registered through the NDIS.

If you’re self-managing your NDIS plan or have a plan manager, you can choose to use unregistered providers for disability goods or services.

Unregistered providers haven’t gone through the NDIS process to show they’re qualified and can provide NDIS supports. However, they still have to work in ways that keep you safe. They must follow the NDIS Code of Conduct, make sure their workers have criminal record checks and have a process for managing complaints.

Every National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participant has an individual plan that lists their goals and the amount of funding the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has approved.
